Golf Profiling in association
with Bramley Golf Club

What is Golf Profiling?

Individual postures and movement patterns that we have adopted over time due to our jobs, lifestyle or habits, lead to soft tissue and joint adaptations which can affect the efficiency of our golfing performance.

Golf Profiling involves the identification of these adaptations by a Chartered Physiotherapist with a knowledge of golf, who will perform a series of tests including the following components:

  • Joint Range of Movement
  • Muscle Length and Strength
  • Posture and Core Stability
  • Balance Testing

What happens next?

After the examination and working closely with your Golf Pro, we will identify which of the findings from the profiling session bear most relevance to your golf swing.

If you are member elsewhere, we will be happy to work with the Golf Pro at your own club.

At Bramley GC, Bill Palmer and Derry Goodburn will analyse your swing and identify areas of technique that need to be addressed. We will then provide you with an individual physical conditioning programme with the aim of ensuring that you have no physical limitations preventing you from addressing the technical issues in your swing.

At a later date, a follow up session will assess improvements in physical condition, and if necessary the programme can be progressed or adapted as appropriate.

Profiling sessions will be held in the treatment rooms at Cranfold Physical Therapy Centre in Cranleigh.
