Following a successful career as a professional dancer Erica graduated as a Physiotherapist from the University of Southampton in 2004. She completed post-graduate specialist training with the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine and has gained additional skills to practise acupuncture and teach pilates. Erica is a member of AFAP and BOFAS (Foot & Ankle Specialist interest Societies) and is listed on the recommended practitioner list for One Dance UK.

Erica is our Clinical Lead Physiotherapist, supervising and guiding our physio team. She works as a Foot & Ankle and Knee Advanced Physio Practitioner in the NHS where she regularly liaises with Consultants in the care of patients with complex lower limb problems, as well as treating her own caseload of patients who have problems in all body areas.

If your issue is complex or you require a specialist physio in the lower limb field, Erica can offer either a whole course of treatment herself, or following the initial advanced assessment with her, discuss and plan with you how we can best manage your onward recovery with one our excellent Cranfold team.

Erica divides her time between private practice, the NHS and is the School Physio for a local dance school. She has a special interest in the rehabilitation of the young dancer and sports person and enjoys creating individual rehabilitation programmes to ensure her patients meet their individual goals. She is currently completing a MSc in Sports & Exercise Medicine and is involved in research exploring calf muscle strength and ankle injury prevention in dancers.

Between juggling family life and physio she loves running, yoga, skiing and the theatre.
