I am a very friendly, caring responsible Italian physiotherapist, specialised in manual therapy. I am really excited to work at Cranfold because I would like to pursue my career and learn new techniques that will improve my knowledge and capabilities.
I chose to become a physio to help people manage pain and prevent disease. I graduated from L’Aquila University in November 2010 where I worked as physiotherapy assistant for 3 years. In 2012 I finished a master’s degree in manual therapy (orthopaedic manipulative therapist). During my time in Italy, I treated a lot of post op patients (especially knee and hip replacement).
I have a particular interest in helping patients recover from acute low back pain using the McKenzie postural technique.
I also love travelling to enrich my cultural and working background. I will try my best to help people and let them be healthier.
“Having been suffering extreme pain for eight months through lockdowns, I was finally referred to Raffael Romano for four sessions of physio over video call. I did not expect it to be so successful but Raffael was great. Listened to my issues suggested and demonstrated exercises to alleviate my problems and at the end of the four weeks I am finally pain free and able to move again”
