We are able to offer Physiotherapy in Surrey across 2 locations.  Chartered Physiotherapy is available at 107 High Street Cranleigh and at The South Street Clinic Dorking. In addition to physiotherapy, we offer a wide range of massage therapies and clinical pilates classes.

Chartered Physiotherapy

We have an experienced team of physiotherapists all of whom are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and are registered with the HCPC.

Your initial physiotherapy  appointment will be for 45 minutes. This will involve a full history taking of your current condition and relevant medical history. You will then be examined and your physio will explain your condition, and a treatment plan will be formulated. Your treatment will begin on the first visit. Treatment may include ultrasound, soft tissue massage, mobilisations and a home exercise programme. In addition to this, some of our Physios are able to offer acupuncture as part of your treatment.

Follow up appointments are normally for 30 minutes where the physio will reassess your progress and continue with treatment as indicated. At Cranfold Physical Therapy Centre, we understand that all patients are individuals, but the average number of visits for a course of physiotherapy with us is 4-5.

Clinical Pilates Classes

Our Clinical Pilates classes are run by  APPI trained Chartered Physiotherapists and Degree level Sports Therapists.

Pilates is a gentle form of exercise that is focussed on improving core stability and posture. These mat based exercises can be particularly beneficial for patients with back and neck pain, and also those returning to normal hobbies and activities following an injury.

Regular pilates, alongside an active and healthy lifestyle, can help to improve flexibility, strength and posture, which in turn can help to prevent back injury.

We run small, mixed ability classes with a maximum of 5-10 participants depending on studio, to ensure that the correct guidance and individual attention is given to everyone in the class. This allows our instructors to ensure that the exercises are being completed correctly, and if necessary adapt the exercise to suit an individual.

Sports and Remedial Massage in Cranleigh

Sports massage and remedial massage are deep tissue massage treatments using a variety of techniques aimed at working out muscular tightness and trigger points.

These therapies leave you feeling looser, more flexible and ‘lighter’ in your muscles. It helps improve posture and addresses areas of injury and spasm. Treatments can include a combination of techniques such as myofascial release, stretching, and soft tissue and trigger point release.

Regular sports and remedial massage for neck, shoulder and low back areas can help prevent accumulated stresses which lead to joint pain, headaches and backache.
