CALEIGH IS CURRENTLY ON MATERNITY LEAVE – (AUGUST 2023)

 

Since gaining a BSc in physiotherapy from St Georges university in 2015 Caleigh has predominantly worked in large NHS trusts gaining a wide breadth of experience within many areas of physiotherapy. These include treatment of orthopaedic, neurological, cardiac, intensive care and care of the elderly patients, before specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and pelvic health physiotherapy.

Alongside these roles Caleigh has worked in private clinics and with sports teams treating acute sports injuries and varied musculoskeletal problems. As well as UK experience, Caleigh has volunteered in Ghana gaining knowledge of how to provide rehabilitation in a less developed healthcare system.

Caleigh has gained additional qualifications in personal training, sports massage therapy, taping and is a qualified Pilates instructor. She has recently started a master’s programme in advanced physiotherapy at Brighton University. She incorporates all these skills into her provision of physiotherapy enabling her to adapt her treatment approach to each individual. Caleigh enjoys treating a wide range of conditions and utilises a combination of hands-on techniques, exercise and education to work towards a common goal.

Caleigh has had specialist training in pelvic health physiotherapy and works with women who are experiencing pregnancy related pain, and a range of pelvic floor dysfunctions in pregnancy and in the postnatal period. She enjoys working alongside ladies to help them keep active during pregnancy and to help them to return to normal function postnatally.

Outside of physiotherapy Caleigh enjoys long walks with her dog, running, cycling and the great outdoors.

Our Women’s/Pelvic Health Service will be starting from February 2023.
